Irrepressible Sheikh Hasina

In the March 2007, During the army-backed caretaker government, the Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina went to Canada and United States to saw her then sick daughter and pregnant daughter-in-law. On April 18 of that year, the caretaker government announced bans on her returning to this country.
Irrepressible Sheikh Hasina. In an emotional interview with Al-Zazira television she said that, “Bangladesh is my motherland and I will die only there. Intimidation, threats nothing going to deter me from returning to Bangladesh.”
Ignoring all the conspiracy, menace of the then army-backed caretaker government Sheikh Hasina returned home on 5th may 2007.
At one stage, she got forcibly arrested. There were even attempts to kill her through food poisoning. This is not the end of it, there were even conspiracy to give her penal bar & to make that possible they were plotting cases after cases only to resist her from doing election.(To see more click here)

We have to build social movement against Drug: Dolon



Drug addiction is a social curse. A significant part of our youths are now affected by this sickness. Gradually, it is taking a horryfying look. If we failed to stop this social anathema as fast as possible then it will definitely bring undesired future for our future generation.
The speakers said this at the discussion on anti-drug and development meeting organized at kuchigraame in Alfadanga upazila of Faridpur on Friday evening. Kanchan Munshi Foundation organized the meeting.
Chairman of the Foundation & Editor of Dhaka Times and Ei-Somoy Arifur Rahman Dolon said in the meeting that, Personally I’m one hundred percent anti-narcotics. Frankly speaking, I don’t want that Our childrens get into drug abuse and lost their life prematurely. Mainly because, Drug reduces the natural intelligence of humans. He then told that, Development is happening throughout the country. In order to continue this development progress, our students, young boys and girls should take the helms right now. It is high time to create social awareness in each and every family. And the Pioneer of our countries today’s progress is none other than our Leader, Prime-Minister, Father of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s daughter Sheikh Hasina. Whenever and Wherever she calls for a meeting or attends rally, she strongly raise her voice against drug addiction. She considers Alfadanga as her very own upazila. That’s the reason, I invite all of you to eradicate any sorts of  drug from Alfadanga upazila only then I can assure all of you that Alfadanga won’t be lag behind in fact Alfadanga will be far ahead from other upazilas. Who’s ahead in the race to get Awami League ticket?

Who is going to be Awami League nominated candidate for the eleventh parliamentary election in Faridpur- 1 constituency. Plenty of discussion is going on throughout the Faridpur district regarding this. Between the four parliamentary seats of faridpur, this is the largest and maybe the most important seat. This seat is also known as one of the strongest base of Bangladesh Awami League. Once there was a thought that the person who gets the Awami League ticket for this seat gets elected as a parliament member at ease. But it has changed in the evolution of time. Now candidate selection has become a very big issue in this constituency. Faridpur-1 constituency is consists of three upazilas which are Alfadanga, Boalmari and Madhukhali. Add years to your life with a 15 minute walk

Fifteen minutes of exercise each day is enough for older adults to see a huge benefit to their health, experts reveal. The short burst of activity is linked to a 22 per cent lower risk of early death.

And doctors say they hope the short amount of time will be a more reasonable target for older adults to achieve on a daily basis.
